Average At Worst

AITOOW thinks strategy/foreknowledge can't be very important to hitting a baseball? If it was, pitchers and catchers would have the edge. They are the positions that contemplate pitch selection in the greatest part. They should be best able to "diagnose" and defeat the opposition's approach. Yet, they mostly maintain the worst batting averages. Pitchers may have the excuse that they don't practice hitting as much as other players. Some cite fatigue as a factor for catchers. Maybe they both overthink it.

Wein Stain

AITOOW thinks that public opinion (if it was with them) is going to soon turn against the Weinstein accusers? Or at least dissolve into apathy. Some are jealous of the accusers. Some think entertainers (especially the ones coming forward) are harlots and have/had done worse. Some are reminded of rejection by (girls like) them. Some think that the issue is being manipulated by groups to advance an agenda. Some note that some of the accusers appear superficial by bringing up his appearance. Some will think the charges are minor.

It is interesting that the Jewish community isn't circling the wagons like other minority groups are inclined to do. Maybe this is the proper tactic. This way the reputation of the entire group isn't smeared in the process. Or at least isn't considered irrational for their obstinate/paranoid group think. It sounds ignoble, but, maybe it is the better strategy. Or maybe they are just self-preserving cowards after all.

Going Green

AITOOW is confounded at how long they have to wait at a green light to move? I understand that there is a slight delay between cars, but, doesn't it seem that we could all step on the gas at the same time and we could all be moving forward the second it turns green? We all catch up to the car in front of us anyway. Shouldn't the worry (of ramming the car in front) be greater when we know we are going to stop (red light)? Seems like people race into these stops. Do we expect that the guy is going to jam on his brakes at a green?

No Addition in Tradition

AITOOW thinks when someone lauds something (like a method of cooking) as being "preserved", it means that that culture probably lacked the critical thinking to improve on it.

Playing With Their Weiner

AITOOW finds the false ignorance of Harvey Weinstein's behavior amusing? First of all, the idea that anybody in Hollywood was ignorant of this behavior defies belief. It has always been the "way" in Hollywood. The way to get a role. The way the game is played. Successful actresses (and actors for that matter) didn't rise in their metier because of talent. They might have had talent, but, they also slept with someone along the way. That is why this is so pathetic. Everyone in the process is a potential "bill' that has to be paid. Agents, actors, directors, writers, producers, etc. They all have (or at one point had) dirty hands. Not to mention the way many actresses "pay the rent" when money runs dry. I'm not saying that the practice should exist, I'm just saying that anyone who pretends that it was a secret is either an imbecile or lying. It's so "out" that the industry itself makes movies about it. Books (fiction and non-fiction and auto-bios) and songs are written about it. They even invented a phrase for it - casting couch. And it's not just a Hollywood thing. It happens in most industries. And it's not about exploitation or violation. It's actually about shame and power politics and prejudice. If Harvey was attractive then this behavior would have been encouraged (or at least accepted). If the women didn't know that down deep they could be willing to betray their morality for fame, they wouldn't need an ancillary target for their rage. If they didn't feel that this could be used as leverage to kick start a moribund career or shake down the target or garner some undeserved and insincere praise/attention, they wouldn't have come forward. These women aren't heroes. They are cowards that took payoffs or hid in the shadows while this reprehensible behavior went on and on. It's a familiar story. It's a story with no good guys. It's called reality. Or the middle part of every Law and Order SVU episode.

And let's call out Lorne Michaels who proves the thesis set out. He didn't include/lampoon the story in last weeks episode because he knows what I write is true. He's scared his dirt (alleged) will come out along with everyone else's. He didn't want to draw attention to it. It wasn't because it was a local (NY) story.

Brah-vado

AITOOW loves it when the black man speaks his infantile mind? Up first - Cam Newton. Guess it's not you and the black man against the guy who reminds you of your father, white girls. Eric Reid. An oppressor is not a person who disagrees with you (won't let you have your way) and lets you know it. He's doing what your real dad should have done. And I forget which talking head described Trump's position on the protests sanctioned by the NFL as divisive this Sunday morning. Are his comments divisive or is insulting a national ceremony divisive? Usually a REACTION to an action is seen as the less culpable offense. And while we are on liberal talking heads, why is the liberal idea of an adult an ineffectual, collusive hypocrite?

Injust Ass

AITOOW who wonders why people are choosing to take a knee as an act of defiance? It's a prostrate/subservient position. An act of a slave. Just another piece of evidence of the mindlessness of the author and the cause. Let alone the self-servicing of it all. And is injustice really the complaint?The injustice of affirmative action? The injustice of lowered/double standards? The injustice of protected class status? The injustice of the burden of social programs? The injustice in the balance of contributions to the society? Injustice in the manner in which one race tries to help the other and the other race actively seeks to undermine the other? A race that has never lifted a finger to help any one other than themselves. A race who sold their own people like chattel. A race whose greatest "heroes" are just people who fought for self-interest. Maybe they just need to hold their hands together in thanks to strike the right pose.

I would like to demand that justice be served by outlawing the name Zuniga and any statues, et al that celebrate such a double insult.
