Land of the (Everything Is) Free

AITOOW thinks it's great that not one single discussion about health care so far has burst the myth/sophistry that it is or is becoming another entitlement? And they always ignore the cost of that permutation? There will be no "losers" in the implimentation. That is becoming clear. Every "fix" is just another jenga piece that makes it more net negative. Both sides will chase every segment of the electorate to try and find that margin of difference that will win elections. Democrats had always counted on Republicans to be the adult in the room. The good losers. Now they see it as way to defeat their enemy and the program. How is this going to effect the fiscal landscape in the near term? What happens in the long term if they don't dismantle this (like they never do to any program)? Why are these questions not being asked. It's just an obsession with the political ramifications. Is that what people should be worried about? And how are the executive orders modifying the law not the equivalent of a line item veto. I know they say it's an administrative change. but, that is a reach. I wish we had a Supreme Court just for delegation of powers issues. And it could bring cases on it's own. I hate that the executive can choose not to enforce existing law and administrative agencies can write their own.

Wendy In Doubt

AITOOW wonders why Wendy's charges different prices to make your order a combo? It's the same fries and a drink (upsizing aside). Yet, they charge you more for it if you order a more expensive sandwich/burger. It's almost like they charge on a fixed percent (maybe they do I didn't look that closely into it) of the sandwich. Penalizing you for buying one of their more expensive items seem like a dumb way to get you to do that. I would guess these carry their highest gross margins too, so, I advise you to cherry pick the value menu.

Think It And You Will Be It

AITOOW thinks a woman's "superiority" over man is largely a delusion protracted by their own irrationality? It basically assumes the conclusion/prejudice and then refutes all evidence to the contrary. If you doubt my word, watch any episode of Maury Pauvich. No woman will ever take the lie detector herself to establish her own innocence as a baseline and will never accept it when the lie detector tells her she was wrong. She just digs in her heels or rejects the efficacy of the device. All to validate herself as the "better" sex. Now why these imbeciles fall for most of these rakes (I assume everybody is guilty and I'm not saying men are "better") after it appears they have already been burned or have to have been warned is another issue.

AITOOW finds it funny that the press are trying to make it seem that the "you can keep your insurance" bamboozle was the first case of prevarication from this sociopath? Anybody remember Rev. Wright? Dope smoking denials? Composite characters in his books? The guy was a Manchurian Candidate from the get go. It's ironic that a man who rose to prominence by the sound of his own voice (his only contribution to society) will be brought low by the same. He joins the Mt. Lies-more with Clinton, Nixon and Roosevelt. And I still love that no one has figured out that all he did was give flip the script on who the health care system serves. No longer is it aimed at your "average" American. Once again we side with the least contributive members of society and the neediest (infirm and women). The recipe for any robust society. And I didn't even throw in the "benefits" migrants. You notice how I just described his whole family?

Living While White

AITOOW thinks that if the hub bub that is going on around the Dolphins took place in another segment of society we would be told not to inject our personal prejudices into their construct? We would be branded as insensitive, mean spirited, audacious and bigoted. We would be told that this is a sub-culture whose beliefs we must tolerate. Let's get this straight, I deplore these kinds of humiliating exercises. At the very least the "initiate" should not be deemed "guilty" of whatever it is that they seek to "correct" and should not be fleeced. I'm just pointing out that the "descrying class" has a double standard. And being white and male and established is enough to exclude you from their understanding.

AITOOW marvels that you can get a full Marie Callender's TV dinner (non-pasta) for $2 (on sale) when everything else is so expensive? The packaging alone must cost 50 cents.

Eat Puke Leave

AITOOW is coming to the realization that it isn't poor sanitary conditions that leads to digestive discomfort in many countries? It's the "special sauce" they give us gringos. And this applies to their restaurants in the States. And here I was blaming dirty hands, week old produce and malfunctioning refrigerators.
