The leverage in question belonging to sexual congress. Once women realized that they gave away the power associated with the denial of sexual relations (by "exploring" their sexuality), they have been searching for a way to have their cake and eat it too. Metoo is the latest manifestation. If pre-secxual activity is a dead end, then how about post-sexual? You get your bang on and then hold the spectre of incarceration (or reputational damage) over the participant's (or participants')' head. You get to keep the cultural/historical benefits afforded to you (because of paternalism) based on gender while avoiding the duties. It just goes to show that equal rights movements are usually anything but.
