AITOOW wonders why movies never have the dead beat dad explain to the children he left behind that the reason he bolted was the mother? That she was a total capricious/emotional cunt. Maybe she cheated? Maybe she was a despot? Maybe she was a drunk? Maybe she was abusive? Maybe she was a bad mother? That she made his life miserable and the way the court system works, he knew he would never get custody anyway. That she would poison their minds against himanyway, so, it wasn't worth the energy and sarifice to fight or stick around. No. He is always 100% to blame. He just left an ideal situation because he was such dirt. Seems farfetched.
