I Gotta Tell Ya

AITOOW who pays no mind to what APPOINTED officials have to say about anything? First off, they are probably in their position because they share the views of the people who appointed them - hardly objective. Secondly, if they weren't appointed by the current appointer they are trying to save their career (especially in the armed forces where they have no lateral move) or seeking a higher appointment. So there is no disinterested opinion on Don't Ask Don't Tell. Not that I believe in it.
