Jobs Plummet
AITOOW wonders what the number of sole proprietorships effectively unemployed are? I mean people who have businesses that are not bringing in income (ie consultants, lawyers, doctors, accountants, media producers, actors, small store owners, etc). The bad economy effects them more than most. And if they struggle too long before claiming unemployment, they are shut out because it depends on the last year's pay into UIC. If you wait too long, you can't claim or get very little if you do. One more reason to hate the system (if you believe in equitable treatment) or love it (if you don't believe in hand outs). Add that to the tally BHO BHO.
